Business opportunity for Curaçao companies to export their services in areas of knowledge and experience Sint Maarten Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience Trust Fund.

Willemstad, June 5th, 2019 saw the follow-up session for the recovery of St.Maarten. The St. Maarten Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience Trust Fund is financed by the government of the Netherlands for up to 470 million euros (US$553.4 million) and managed by the World Bank. The St. Maarten government implements the activities financed by the Trust Fund in partnership with the World Bank.

This follow-up session of the webinar held in May, was held at the Renaissance Hotel for with attendance of over 60 local companies. The seminar was also held subsequently in Aruba and St. Maarten. Companies that registered and attended this mornings session are in diverse fields such as project management, civil-, mechanical- and electrical engineering, materials procurement, environmental, construction and others. This seminar was organized by the Chamber in close cooperation with #VNW Vertegenwoordiging Nederland, #RVO Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland and #Worldbank.

The Chamber is of the opinion that the rebuilding of St. Maarten provides a good opportunity for our companies to export their services in all these areas of knowledge and experience.
